Overview
Depth plots are purpose designed depth datum referenced plots onto which geochemical data and stratigraphic tops can be plotted.

Depth Plot Creation
The depth plot creation dialogue requires 3 specified inputs for creation:
- Well - A well must be chosen for creation but can be removed afterwards to create a multi-well depth plot.
- Horizontal (X) axis Property - A numeric geochemical property with associated indicator, unit and ratio where appropriate. The property is selected using the standard Property Selector present throughout p:IGI+.
- Vertical (Y) axis Depth - Depth type (TVD or MD) reference information, datum and unit. Note that to plot versus TVD the data need to calculate TVDs (or TVD values) must be present in the project.
Both axes can be displayed using a log scale, although we do not recommend using a log scale for depth.
Once the depth plot has been created properties, axis ranges & scales can be managed through the Axes tab in Graph Manager. More information is provided on how to use Depth plots in an interpretive sense with stratigraphic tops.
Graph interpretative layers is covered in another section of the user guide.
