2016 Update Released for IGI’s Barents Sea Geochemical Database

IGI has completed the annual update of our Barents Sea Geochemical Database and accompanying Well Manager File. This brings the database up to date for 2016 and includes all data released via the NPD Factpages website up to the end of December 2015.

The database now comprises data for over 27,000 samples from 73 wells, including over 26,700 rock analyses, 119 oils and 230 gas samples. TOC content is reported for over 20,400 samples with most of these also having additional pyrolysis data. Molecular data are widely available for more than 1900 samples and the isotopic composition of over 1050 samples are reported. Maturity data in the form of vitrinite reflectance values are present for more than 2300 samples.
