Senior Petroleum Geochemist/Basin Modeller
After extending the collaboration with the Norwegian Offshore Directorate to host and update the public geochemical database of the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NOCS) for the coming 5 years, IGI are pleased to announce that the latest update of the database is now complete.
For this update, IGI’s data team compiled and added new geochemical data for a total of 1,115 samples from 20 wells, including data for 34 oil and 378 gas samples (see map below for more details). The complete database now contains ~129,000 samples from over 1,300 wells, and is up to date to November 2025.

The data are hosted in Metis and can easily be queried via Metis Discover in your web browser or use the direct link from p:IGI+. Access the database via the NOD FactPages or directly here. Registration is simple and free of charge, and need only be done on first use.
