Senior Petroleum Geochemist/Basin Modeller
IGI Ltd are pleased to announce that in cooperation with the Norwegian Offshore Directorate we will continue hosting and updating the public geochemical database of the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NOCS) for the coming 5 years.
Initially released in early 2021 for the Norwegian North Sea, the database now covers the whole NOCS and currently contains around 128,000 samples from over 1,280 wells. With over 500 registered users from within the industry and academia the database is widely used and it highlights the success of making the data publicly available.
The data are hosted in Metis and can easily be queried via Metis Discover in your web browser. Access the database via the NOD FactPages or directly here. Registration is simple and free of charge, and need only be done on first use.
